ISO 19443 is the world's first internationally harmonized reference for the nuclear industry to control quality throughout the chain of external products and service providers. This standard is complementary to ISO 9001 and adds the following: It allows to take into account topics such as the importance to nuclear safety and the graded approach, leadership and nuclear safety culture as well as other specific requirements for the nuclear energy sector within the quality management system, It is aimed at any organization concerned by ISO 9001 and which provides products and services Important To Nuclear Safety.
Duration: 1 day
Objectives:
• To understand the domain of application and the standard vocabulary,
• To discover ISO19443 requirements complementing those from ISO9001,
• To understand its added valued.
Public et Prerequisites:
• Any person from organisation supplying products and services Important To Nuclear Safety,
• Knowledge of quality management and, if possible, of the nuclear energy sector,
• English or French speaker upon the training language.
Pedagogical, technical and management resources:
• Training is delivered in French or English by one of our ISO19443 expert,
• Training material (in paper or electronic form) provided to trainees and displaying of slides on the screen,
• Theoretical presentations illustrated by the presentation of solutions or practical cases,
• Maximum of 12 participants per training session.
• Terms of assessment / Certificates
• Evaluation of trainers by trainees by means of a Bureau Veritas quality document,
• Evaluation of trainees by means of questionnaires,
• Bureau Veritas attestation of attendance.
Program (non-exhaustive) :
• Introduction, context and generalities: Origin, field of application, structure, definitions.
• Presentation of the main requirements of the ISO19443 standard:
- concepts related to the importance to nuclear safety and the graded approach to requirements,
- leadership and nuclear safety culture,
- use of commercial grade items (CGI),
- treatment of counterfeit, fraudulent or suspicious items (CFSI),
• additional requirements to ISO 9001, particularly for:
- risk control
- scheduling, resources and skills, documented information,
- operational realization (design, purchasing & production),
- management of non-conformities.
